Full job description

Le barista est chargé de réaliser des transactions de vente au sein de l'établissement et d'effectuer toutes les autres fonctions d'assistance pouvant inclure le nettoyage des zones alimentaires, de présentation et/ou de stockage et l'aide aux activités de stockage; exerce toutes les autres responsabilités selon les directives liées à l'activité ou confiées par la direction. Il s’agit d’un poste syndiqué placé généralement sous la supervision du Gérant du magasin.

Fonctions essentielles

Opère la caisse et reçoit les paiements des clients sous forme d’espèces ou de carte de crédit, compte ce qu’il reçoit avec exactitude et rend la monnaie aux clients le cas échéant et se conforme à toutes les politiques et procédures de HMSHost en ce qui concerne le service à la clientèle et la manipulation de l’argent
Maintient une solide connaissance des produits et services disponibles au sein de l'unité
Nettoie et gère la zone de travail
Aide à la localisation, au rapprochement et à la vérification de l'exactitude des transactions et de l'équipement d'exploitation avec le traitement des données électroniques périphériques

Compétences minimales, connaissances, aptitudes et environnement de travail :

Expérience en manipulation de l’argent et en service à la clientèle souhaitée
Capacité à communiquer avec le public et les collègues en étant amical, enthousiaste et ouvert
Doit pouvoir se pencher, se tourner et rester debout pour effectuer les activités habituelles de l’emploi
Nécessite la capacité à soulever/pousser des objets pesant plus de 4,5 kilos (10 lb)
Capacité de parler, écrire et comprendre les instructions, correspondances brèves et documents de politique, et à converser facilement avec les clients

The Barista is responsible for completing sales transactions within the establishment and performing other support functions which may include cleaning the food, display and/or stock areas and assisting with stocking activities; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position.

Essential Functions:

Operates a cash register and receives payment from customers in cash or credit card, accurately counts and provides change to customers as required, and follows all HMSHost customer service and cash handling policies and procedures
Maintains a solid knowledge of products and services available in unit
Cleans and stocks work area
Assists in locating, reconciling, and verifying the accuracy of transactions and operate equipment with peripheral electronic data processing

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

Cash handling and customer service experience preferred
Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
Requires the ability to lift/push objects weighing over 10 lbs
Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
