Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various construction tasks, including building structures, reading blueprints, and utilizing power tools. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. The Carpenter/Laborer will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, decking and fencing materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks.
- operate small excavating machinery.
- Assist in roofing projects by assembling materials and ensuring structural integrity.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a carpenter or laborer in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Ability to operate various power tools safely (e.g., saws, drills).
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
