The Opportunity

Key leadership role responsible for financial management, reporting, and controls within a growing industrial business
Partner closely with leadership to support operational decision-making and business performance
Opportunity to bring structure, discipline, and clarity to accounting and financial processes
Hands-on role with both strategic and day-to-day responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

Lead full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, payroll oversight, and general ledger management
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Manage month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data
Maintain and improve financial reporting systems and processes

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

Develop and manage budgets and forecasts in collaboration with leadership
Monitor cash flow, costs, and financial performance across projects and operations
Provide analysis and insights to support business decisions
Support job costing, project tracking, and margin analysis

Payroll, Compliance & Controls

Oversee payroll processes and ensure accuracy of employee compensation records
Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, standards, and company policies
Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance
Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and advisors

Operational & Business Support

Partner with operations to align financial tracking with project execution
Improve systems, workflows, and administrative efficiency
Support onboarding documentation, employee records, and internal reporting where needed
Contribute to a structured, accountable, and high-performing office environment

Qualifications

5–7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including senior-level responsibilities
CPA designation (preferred) or actively pursuing, or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office applications
Experience with accounting and payroll systems; project-based or industrial experience is an asset
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Professional communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
