Description
The UX Designer in this role will support a major enterprise ERP modernization and field service transformation initiative as part of the SAP Plus program. In this role, you will lead the design of user experiences across the transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, alongside the introduction of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Work Zone, and mobile field service applications.
Your primary focus will be to design efficient, consistent, and intuitive end-to-end workflows for both office employees and field technicians, leveraging SAP Fiori standards and out-of-the-box capabilities wherever possible. You will work within the constraints of the SAP platform to optimize user flows across applications, reduce manual effort and rework, and minimize customization.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong collaboration with product owners, solution architects, developers, and business stakeholders. You will conduct user research, develop design artifacts (from wireframes to prototypes), and ensure that solutions align to standard SAP design patterns, enterprise UX governance, and business transformation goals. Success in this role will be measured by improved usability, reduced friction in business processes, and strong user adoption of SAP solutions
Top outcomes
-
Drive measurable user adoption and efficiency: Deliver SAP S/4HANA and field service experiences that are intuitive, low-effort, and require minimal training, resulting in faster onboarding, reduced support needs, and high user adoption. Designs prioritize first-time-right task completion, minimizing errors, rework, and reliance on workarounds.
-
Establish consistent, standardized UX across SAP platforms: Ensure a cohesive and consistent user experience across S/4HANA, SAP Work Zone, and mobile applications by leveraging SAP Fiori standards and reusable design patterns. Define and enforce UX consistency across workstreams to prevent fragmentation and reduce cognitive load for users operating across multiple systems.
-
Optimize end to end business workflows across applications: Design and streamline end-to-end user workflows, reducing unnecessary navigation, duplicate data entry, and cross-system friction. Prioritize fit-to-standard SAP capabilities and minimize customization, ensuring efficient, scalable processes that align with SAP platform constraints and support long-term maintainability.
