As the Security Control Center Operator and Dispatcher, you will be working part-time, primarily based out of our office in Vancouver, British Columbia and reporting to our Head Office and Scheduling & Control Center Manager. This role will primarily support operational volume on certain days and provide coverage for banked days, vacations, sick calls, and similar requirements as needed.
The successful candidate will possess very strong organizational and time-management skills, will be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and is comfortable learning and using new software systems. The incumbent of this position will need to demonstrate responsiveness and clear communication skills nightly.
Your role is key in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that our field management teams are supported in effectively staffing their regions. This position is one with a large potential for growth within the department and the company.
You will possess excellent organizational and time-management skills, with proficiency in Google Suite, and be comfortable learning and using new software systems. To succeed in this role, you must have a background and/or education in office administration, scheduling, or security. This role requires the incumbent to have strong communication skills and be comfortable interacting with external clients regularly.
You will take direction from our National Scheduling Manager, ultimately supporting our CEO and Director of Operations by fulfilling the basic operations of this role.

Job Responsibilities
- Actioning emails, late calls, alarm dispatch, and lone worker calls.
- Complete time approvals on TrackTik.
- Review, approve, and help create weekly schedules.
- Help managers with troubleshoot scheduling and sign-in/sign-out issues.
- Assist managers in making last-minute scheduling changes.
- Support the National Scheduling Manager with any scheduling maintenance.
- Participate in and perform ad-hoc tasks to support the National Management team in achieving organizational and operational goals.
- Take ownership of TrackTik administration.
- Effectively and professionally communicate with clients when necessary.
- Effectively and professionally communicate with security guards when necessary.
- Support the office team with systems administration as required.
- Assist with general office administration as required.
- Complete, review, or send reports as required.
- Work on various operational projects assigned to you.
- Act in a dispatch manner for last-minute coverage calls.
- Assist the Mobile Operations Team with projects.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and provide support as needed to the administrative and leadership teams.
Job Requirements
- Post-secondary education is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Above 50 wpm typing rate (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
- Ability to communicate in French is considered an asset.
- Experience in the security industry is highly preferred, but not necessary.
- Shift Scheduling experience on a large scale is key for success in this role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience using TrackTik is a huge asset.
- Tech-savviness is a huge benefit for this role.
- Able to commute to our Vancouver, BC office.
