Full job description

Gourmet Chef is a division of Premium Brands Holdings Corporation (TSX: PBH) which owns a broad range of leading specialty food manufacturing and differentiated food distribution businesses with operations.

We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn and interested in a stable, routine-based position within our Quality Assurance department. No prior QA experience is required — we are willing to provide training to candidates who demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Successful candidates will help support compliance with regulatory and food safety standards and should be able to meet the following basic requirements:

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Responsible for product label, product packaging integrity check, daily forms completion and check
Conduct equipment visual inspection & corrective action request
Perform equipment surface & Product sampling and basic quality testing as per schedule
Responsible for Monitoring activities, such as temperature, weight, employee hygiene practice, housekeeping practice, etc. according to the checklists and complete monitoring records. Report any non-compliance practices or products to QA Supervisor land take appropriate corrective actions
Communicate with other departmental supervisors in a cooperative manner
Conduct employee training on GMP, HACCP or as required
Collect evidence and information for food safety investigation and report and record accordingly

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication skills and teamwork
Well-organized with good time-management skills
Previous experience in food manufacturing and/or food services is an asset
Good in written and oral English
Able to use Microsoft Excel and Word
Access to reliable transportation

Competitive salary and wages are negotiable depending on experience.
