Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and excellent food service. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the food industry, with a focus on food safety, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The Kitchen Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations and assisting with food handling and preparation tasks.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food assembly according to recipes and standards
Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
Handle food safely, adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and portioning as needed
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
Assist with serving food to customers or staff in a timely manner
Restock supplies and ensure all necessary ingredients are available for meal service
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Skills

Experience in cooking, food preparation, or restaurant settings is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Good communication skills for teamwork and customer service interactions
Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is a plus
Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety

Pay: $17.85-$20.00 per hour
