Brockton School is a nondenominational coeducational Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, independent school, located in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Inclusive Education Staff Full Time - 1.0 FTE September 1, 2026
Reporting to the Senior School Principal, this position works collaboratively with the school’s faculty, staff and administration. This contract is 1.0 FTE, commencing September 1, 2026 concluding June 30, 2027.
As a member of our Inclusive Education Team, Inclusive Education Staff collaborate with internal administration, faculty and staff as well as external agencies/partners to support the success of students.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports the planning, organization, and implementation of inclusive lessons suited to diverse learners
- Fosters a love of learning and an environment that encourages all students to develop and fulfill their academic potential

Models behaviours, attitudes, and principals for students in all contexts

Participates in school-based team meetings as required

Communicates effectively with teachers, specialists, administrators, and families while maintaining confidentiality

Follows recommendations provided by occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, and other support professionals

Places student needs at the center of decision making

Brings different perspectives, voices, and worldviews to the classroom learning experience, including those of Indigenous, local, and global populations

Promotes a safe and inclusive environment through strong relationship building and overall classroom management

Other duties as assigned by the divisional Principal
Qualifications / Experience / Skills:

Educational Assistant certification or equivalent
- Experience supporting students with physical disabilities and/or complex communication needs (preferred)

IB experience or training (preferred)

Minimum of two years experience working with middle and/or senior school students (preferred)

High EQ skills, possess the ability to be self-aware

Strong problem-solving, organizational, and administrative skills

The ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills

Salary Range: Brockton Inclusive Education Staff Salary
$55,000-$65,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications
