Full job description

Job Title: Account Sales Representative Department: Sales

Reports To: Sales Manager

Job Summary:

The Account Sales Representative at Grayler Metals Corp. plays a key role in managing customer accounts, specifically those centered around production processing. This position oversees the full order lifecycle – from initial quoting to final delivery, ensuring accurate material takeoffs, material sourcing, and coordination with internal teams to meet customer expectations and production capabilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with account customers and act as the primary point of contact for all production related sales and service needs.
Conducting cold calls as a part of your customer onboarding requirements.
Manage orders from quote through to delivery, ensuring all customer specifications, deadlines and quality expectations are met.
Utilize AutoCAD and other modeling/design software to prepare detailed and accurate quotes.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to part geometry, nesting and/or machining strategies.
Source appropriate materials for quoting and production in alignment with customer needs and cost-effective solutions.
Work closely with production to schedule jobs and coordinate timely delivery.
Stay up to date on shop floor processes, capabilities and constraints to provide accurate quotes and timelines.
Enter and manage both Outside Processing (OP) and Inside Processing (IP) orders, ensuring proper tracking and follow-up.
Provide ongoing support and proactive communication to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Adhere to all policies and procedure of the organization and work in a safe manner.
Other duties/projects as assigned by the Management team.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Previous experience in account management, technical sales or a similar production focused role.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Organizational skills and high attention to detail.
Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Statistical and analytical knowledge using general business math skills.
Knowledge of the steel/metal industry.

Not required but would be an asset:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or other CAD/CAM software.
Experience programming CNC equipment (offline programming preferred).

Education and Experience:

Business Diploma an asset.
Three to Five years experience in a sales role.
Three to Five years experience in the steel industry.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to moderate noise and varying weather conditions.
Working in the warehouse from time to time, requiring steel toe work boots and hi-vis.
Requirement to attend customer locations.

**Please note: Grayler Metals Corp. is currently located in Port Whitby but is moving to Peterborough in the next month. Interview and training MAY be required in Whitby until the company re-location has been completed.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
