This role will work closely with the current IT Team with the opportunity to learn and evolve as the company continues to grow. This position is very important in ensuring Experiencejet continues to deliver remarkable customer service.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary concentration will be Application development and maintenance
- Learn and support all legacy applications
- Assist IT Team members and company staff with resolving any technical challenges
- Other duties as assigned for all IT related activities supporting the department and company
Qualifications:
- Canadian citizen or landed immigrant able to legally work in Canada
- Degree in Computer Science is preferred or equivalent work experience
- The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in English communications skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, as well written capabilities
- Exceptional knowledge of MS Office and Microsoft operating systems
- Must have excellent prioritization and organizational skills
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years of prior work experience
Must have knowledge and experience in the following:
- JavaScript: JQuery
- HTML/HTML5, CSS
- PHP
- MySQL, Maria or other SQL
- RESTful API development
- Laravel or other MVC architecture framework
- Google Maps API
- Familiarity with Responsive Web Design
- Apache Server
- Comfortable in multiple operating systems (Windows/Linux)
- Distributed version control systems (GIT, Mercurial)
Additional Experience that would be an asset:
PUTTY, SCP, FTP, XML, JSON, Trello, GIMP, Bash, C, Networking (Routing, DNS, IPTABLES), Nagios, OS7 and or OS8.
