Pharmacy Software Trainer (Pharmacy Technician)
Company: Box Labs Inc.
Location: Toronto / Greater Toronto Area (GTA) — field-based role with regional travel
Type: Full-time / Part-time / Contract · Pharmacy students welcome to apply
About Box Labs
Box Labs Inc. is a Canadian pharmacy software company providing point-of-sale (POS) and dispensing software to independent pharmacies across the country. We help independent pharmacies run smarter, and we're growing our team to support our newest clients.
The Role
We're looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join us as a Pharmacy Software Trainer. In this hands-on, field-based role, you'll travel to pharmacies across the region to train newly onboarded clients on how to use the Box Labs platform.
Because many of our clients are switching from other dispensing software systems, your familiarity with those systems is a key asset — you'll be able to draw direct comparisons and show pharmacy staff how to perform the same day-to-day functions in our system. You'll be the friendly, knowledgeable face that makes a pharmacy's transition to Box Labs smooth and stress-free.
Between training engagements, you may also be asked to work at Box Labs-owned pharmacies, performing usual pharmacy technician duties.
What You'll Do
- Travel to client pharmacies in the Toronto area and beyond to deliver in-person training
- Teach pharmacy staff how to use Box Labs POS and dispensing software
- Use your experience with other dispensing software systems to map familiar workflows to equivalent functions in our software
- Answer questions, troubleshoot common issues, and ensure clients feel confident before you leave
- Share client feedback with our team to help improve the product and onboarding experience
- Step in at Box Labs-owned pharmacies between training sessions to carry out regular pharmacy technician work as needed
- What We're Looking For
- Experience with other dispensing software systems — 2–5 years preferred (students with relevant dispensing software experience are encouraged to apply)
- Background as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy assistant (registered, student, or equivalent experience)
- Strong communication skills and patience teaching people of varying comfort with technology
- Based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
- A valid driver's licence and access to your own reliable vehicle, with a willingness to travel — including longer-distance trips
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable working independently in the field
- English fluency — no exceptions. This is a 100% requirement.
- General tech / IT knowledge — we don't require an expert, but it is essential that you can use a computer and understand general troubleshooting methodology
- Canadian citizen. No exceptions, we will not consider applicants without citizenship.
Nice to Have
- Exceptional IT knowledge and tech savviness — a huge plus if you exceed our general requirements
- Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (or in progress)
- Experience with pharmacy systems
- Prior training, onboarding, or customer-facing experience
Why Join Us
- Be part of a growing Canadian software company supporting independent pharmacies
- Varied, people-focused work — no two days are the same
How to Apply
To apply, send your resume to [email protected] and a short note about your experience with dispensing software systems. We value smart people! We are a rapidly growing company and need people who do not need to be micromanaged. Someone with less experience but a higher will to learn and ability to problem solve is a better candidate than one with lots of experience who runs in autopilot. Serious candidates only, if you do not meet our requirements we will not consider you.
