Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site sales role starting in June, with training provided at the beginning of the contract. The position is based at various locations around Calgary, AB, with occasional shifts in surrounding areas including Okotoks and Red Deer, as well as major event venues such as BMO Centre and Spruce Meadows.
During the training period, all shifts will be paid at $15/hour. After training is completed, compensation will be $15/hour OR commission (whichever is higher), based on meeting minimum hourly sales goals.
Responsibilities include assisting customers, promoting Brindy Silk luxury silk products, managing inventory, setting up and maintaining a visually appealing and professional display, and ensuring the booth area remains clean and organized. You will also handle cashier duties and be trained on full product knowledge to confidently communicate the skincare and haircare benefits of our silk collections.
This role also requires learning how to properly set up and take down event tents and booth displays. A full 8-hour shift availability is required for some shifts.
Weekly hours will increase significantly during peak seasons including June, July (Calgary Stampede) November, December, summer events, and where more hours will be expected.
Availability Requirements:

- Must be willing to travel to Okotoks, Millarville, and Spruce Meadows & Red Deer
This role may evolve into a broader part-time position including online order processing, operational support, and social media assistance as well as larger shows around Alberta
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Personable, friendly, and outgoing
- Confident engaging with customers in a sales environment
- Able to clearly explain product benefits and connect solutions to customer needs (skin and hair concerns)
- Comfortable processing transactions and handling high customer volume
- Motivated by sales targets and performance-based earning
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Sales and product promotion experience (1+ year preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build genuine customer rapport
- Organized and dependable with inventory and order handling
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per shift and work outdoors (summer-time)
- Ability to set up a display in a presentable and professional manner
- Ability (or willingness to learn) how to set up and take down tents and booth structures
- Ability to work independently and within a small, motivated team
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (required)
- Willingness to travel to Okotoks, Cochrane, and Spruce Meadows (3–4 shifts minimum)
Job Type: Casual / Seasonal (2-month contract initially - with possibility of September based off availability & Christmas Season November - December)
