About Savant Tours
Savant Tours is a new, Toronto-based tour operator offering scheduled and customized day tours to the Niagara Region, and a walking tour in downtown Toronto. Our mission is to provide story-rich experiences that help visitors truly connect with destinations. We aim to offer groups and individual travelers stress-free, memorable, fun experiences.
Ideal Candidate
We are currently preparing for our official Spring launch and will be hiring Tour Guides to manage our scheduled itineraries to the Niagara Region. We are seeking individuals who are confident speakers, enthusiastic about helping and guiding travellers, well-organized, comfortable managing large groups, and proficient with software systems.
Each day tour starts and ends in downtown Toronto, which is where your day will start and end.
Job Description
Manage group logistics: organize, check in, and manage up to 55 passengers per trip. Pick up tickets and lead the group to the entrance of the Boat Cruise. Sell and distribute pre-purchased Skylon Tower tickets to guests.
WhatsApp Group Chat: Add all passengers to it; communicate logistics such as return times and bus locations, share customized local maps, Savant Tour’s Toronto Recommendations Map, Toronto Partnership Program participants and details, and Bilingual Audio and Text documents for the day tour.
Manage coach driver: Ensure routing software aligns with company standards, establish appropriate routes for pick-up and drop-off, and review precise locations with the driver to slow down and pull over between Niagara-on-the-Lake and Niagara Falls.
Manage local suppliers: Call ahead to ensure everything is in order for the group's arrival, provide an update on the final numbers, and confirm that allergy lists have been received.
Step-on Guide: Stop, or slow down at specific points of interest, and speak via the coach microphone about the location. A sequential document with the locations and related information will be provided for you.
Trip Closing Form: Complete the form to ensure all suppliers met product standards, any incidents are documented, and record Skylon Tower sales made on the bus.
Training Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026, Savant Tours' official launch and first tour. (Date to be finalized in the next couple of weeks, but this will likely be it. Duncan will lead this group, and you will shadow and learn the job at Duncan’s direction.
A sequential checklist will be provided for you to follow to ensure all software steps are understood and completed during training. Duncan will show you the way with the rest of the steps.

- Paid Training Day
- Reimbursed for a tap machine purchased by you for tips on the bus - Some tourists do not carry cash, so we want to ensure you have equal access to all travelers appreciating your hard work and guiding.
- Daily Rate (Once Guiding/Training): $220 - $250 per day, plus tips. Final rate to be established, and can be increased based on performance.
By the training day, we will have a better forecast of tour demand and will share insights closer to or before the training day/you accept a job offer. In terms of availability, the ideal candidate is available on weekends, is passionate about the work, and is looking to take on more weekend work.
While demand for day tours is still emerging, with FIFA, multiple unique selling propositions, hotel partnerships, and marketing campaigns, we expect to be busy.
