Site Superintendent

Executive Group Development is seeking an experienced and hands-on Site Superintendent to join our team at West Coast Estates, a master-planned residential community in Tsawwassen, BC.

As Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations at West Coast Estates, including trade coordination, scheduling, quality control, safety compliance, and project execution. You will work closely with project stakeholders to ensure the development is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the high standards expected of Executive Group Development.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Leadership & Trade Coordination
- Lead daily site operations and coordinate all trades, suppliers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Maintain a safe, productive, and organized construction site.
- Ensure subcontractors perform work in accordance with contract requirements, project specifications, schedules, and safety standards.
- Maintain project schedules and ensure construction milestones are achieved.
- Build strong working relationships with trades while proactively resolving site issues and conflicts.
- Drive accountability and maintain a culture of professionalism and teamwork.
Construction Execution
- Monitor construction activities to ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, and approved scopes of work.
- Identify and resolve deficiencies, construction conflicts, and quality concerns before they impact project timelines.
- Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics to maintain project momentum.
- Support project scheduling and ensure critical milestones are achieved.
- Maintain detailed site documentation, daily reports, and progress updates.
Quality Control
- Champion quality throughout all phases of construction.
- Conduct regular site inspections, including framing, electrical, mechanical, and finishing reviews.
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds company standards, municipal requirements, and industry best practices.
- Manage deficiency tracking and completion.
- Deliver a finished product that reflects Executive Group’s commitment to excellence.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct site orientations and participate in regular safety meetings.
- Maintain a safe work environment for employees, trades, consultants, and visitors.
- Coordinate municipal inspections and occupancy requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Communication
- Work closely with the Project Manager to identify risks, address challenges, and support project success.
- Provide regular updates regarding site progress, schedule impacts, deficiencies, and change-related matters.
- Assist in preparing progress reports and supporting project documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Site Superintendent experience in residential construction.
- Experience with wood-frame multi-family, townhouse, and/or concrete residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and quality control practices.
- Thorough understanding of WorkSafeBC requirements and construction site safety.
- Proven ability to lead multiple trades and manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and mechanical drawings.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Proficient with construction documentation, reporting, and project coordination.

Pay: $140,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
