Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, the Banquet Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the seamless planning and flawless execution of events, while working closely with the Sales, Food & Beverage, and Operations teams.
As an inspiring leader, you will oversee and develop a team of associates, fostering growth and motivation to deliver exceptional customer service and memorable guest experiences. You will also play a strategic role in driving innovation and implementing best practices to optimize profitability, while ensuring effective coordination across the hotel’s various departments.

- Oversee all banquet-related operations across our 35,000 square feet of event space, ensuring flawless event execution;
- Collaborate with the Sales and Food & Beverage teams to plan and customize memorable events;
- Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards while maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction;
- Manage a team consisting of two floor supervisors, one coordinator, two banquet captains, as well as a full team of bartenders, servers, attendants, and support staff;
- Implement new banquet service standards and operational procedures;
- Update and enhance the banquet beverage offerings;
- Actively participate in the Marriott Château Champlain management committee.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing banquet and events team;
- Oversee recruitment, training, and talent development within a collaborative environment;
- Manage schedules, budgets, and resources to optimize productivity and profitability.
- Maintain strong coordination with all hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience;
- Analyze guest feedback to identify improvement opportunities;
- Contribute to innovation and operational excellence in banquet and event services.

- Ability to work under pressure during peak periods.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in banquet operations management or food & beverage management within a hotel or event-driven environment;
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills;
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure;
- Knowledge of hotel management systems (Micros Simphony, Marriott MGS, etc.).
Languages: Bilingualism (French-English) is required for this position, as we serve an international clientele.
