Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at North Campus Edmonton.
Continuing Dental Education (CDE) is a leader in certification and educational programs for Dentists, Registered Dental Hygienists, Registered Dental Assistants, and other health fields. Endorsed by the University of Alberta, CDE offers over 100 sessions for different programs per year with the potential of over 1500 program participants. The Clinical Program Coordinator supports the assigned programs' development, coordination, and overall administration. The CDE Program Director determines the appropriate program(s) to be offered. With this confirmation the Clinical Program Coordinator is the primary contact for each program's participants and academic members. The position works independently and within a team structure to administer many tasks and projects under minimal supervision of the Program Operations Supervisor and the CDE Program Director. This position requires high levels of diplomacy, customer service, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Equally essential is for the individual in this position to take initiative, make decisions, be proactive, and be creative.

Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, instructors, staff, and external partners throughout the program lifecycle.

Coordinate program delivery, including scheduling, registrations, online learning management, clinical sessions, venue logistics, contracts, supplies, and participant support.

Manage program finances, including budgeting, reconciliations, invoicing, sponsorships, accounts receivable, expense claims, and financial sustainability monitoring.

Support program quality and compliance by maintaining records, monitoring participant progress, ensuring regulatory and safety requirements are met, and implementing process improvements.

Assist with marketing and recruitment activities, including enrollment monitoring, website updates, promotional content, patient recruitment, and event representation.

Provide team leadership by supporting staff recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, performance management, and oversight of clinical support operations.

Post-secondary two-year diploma and registration as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), or other oral health professional.

Minimum 5 years of dental clinical experience and 3 years of dental clinic administration or management experience.

Knowledge of dental practice standards, professional regulatory requirements, infection prevention and control, and patient care processes.

Proficiency with electronic health records and computer applications, including PeopleSoft, Adobe Editor, and Google Workspace.

Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, maintain a flexible schedule, and support in-person clinical programs as required.
Preferred / Asset Qualifications

Experience coordinating continuing education, healthcare training, or professional development programs.

Experience with budgeting, financial administration, sponsorships, contracts, and accounts receivable.

Experience with learning management systems, online course administration, and website content management.

Experience supervising, training, scheduling, and onboarding staff.

Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and administrative systems.

Experience with event planning, marketing, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory or accreditation processes.
