Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a seamless and positive service experience. This role involves coordinating between customers and technicians, providing detailed explanations of services, and promoting additional repair and maintenance options. Prior dealership experience, mechanical knowledge, and strong sales skills are highly valued to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a welcoming environment.
Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues and service needs.
Communicate effectively with technicians to relay customer requests and obtain repair estimates.
Provide detailed explanations of recommended services, repairs, and maintenance options to customers.
Upsell additional services or products that enhance vehicle performance and safety while meeting customer needs.
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
Maintain detailed records of service orders, customer interactions, and sales activities.
Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Stay informed about current automotive repair procedures, dealership promotions, and product offerings.

Requirements

Previous dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory; strong customer service background is essential.
Mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience is highly advantageous for understanding vehicle issues effectively.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
Proven sales ability with a focus on upselling services in a professional manner.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
A positive attitude, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service are essential for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
