Description

Woodbridge Foam Corporation is a privately-owned company offering innovative material technologies for applications in automotive, commercial, recreational, packaging, healthcare and building products. In addition to manufacturing operations, the company also offers a full array of services including chemical research and development, product and process engineering, tooling, technical support and accredited laboratory testing. Woodbridge operates more than 60 facilities across 10 countries—employing over 7,500 teammates and serving more than 600 customers worldwide.

Role Purpose:

Supports manufacturing by maintaining quality system support. Works with various manual and automated tools. Assures skilled and timely support to manufacturing customers. Works with quality, materials and other support departments to meet all targeted goals.

Responsibilities:

Complete static torque checks (Break away torque) on all fasteners to ensure that electronic torque control system is working as planned.
Assist the line supervisors and manufacturing colleagues in identifying problems.
Complete static torque checks on QCOS fasteners and documents results on control charts. Ensure that out of control conditions are noted on charts with a reaction plan notation on a real-time basis.
Supports online or offline reworks and/or repairs as required. Ensure independent secondary verification on reworks / repairs (hands off) when necessary. Maintain detailed rework / repair documentation on proper form(s).
Complete daily error proof / fixture verification and document it on proper forms. Ensure that error proof / fixture concerns or problems are reacted to in a timely manner. Communicate containment in required until E / P device or fixture or operational to the appropriate Quality engineer, or Quality Leader.
Complete dynamic verification of production torque guns to schedule. Document results properly in Gage tracking software. Ensure that schedule is maintained.
Support containment activities as necessary, including printing and applying bar codes, etc.
Ensure use of current Quality System forms for documentation of day-to-day activities.
Support Quality System employment including Internal / External / layered audits as requested.
Support Team Leaders, Quality engineers, and Quality Leader as requested
Be actively involved in Kaizen events when requested.

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent
Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret control charts. Working knowledge of Trigonometry fraction, Algebra and Shop applications.
Proficiency in personal computer operations using Microsoft Office software. Gage Trak Software and others as requested.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Must have excellent communication skills (oral & written)

Pay: $50,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
