As we continue to expand, we are seeking one or two motivated Business Development Representatives to help grow our client base and strengthen our market presence.
Position Overview
We are looking for entrepreneurial, relationship-focused sales professionals who are passionate about connecting with property owners, facility managers, strata managers, and public sector organizations.
This role is ideal for someone who already has an established network within commercial real estate, property management, affordable housing, or public sector facilities and wants the flexibility of a commission-based role with unlimited earning potential.
You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and introducing Equibuild's comprehensive building maintenance and renovation services to prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new commercial construction, renovation, and building maintenance opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with:
- Strata management companies
- Commercial property managers
- Facility managers
- Affordable housing operators
- BC Housing partners
- Municipal organizations
- School districts
- Commercial landlords
- Commercial tenants
- Non-profit organizations
- Conduct business development through networking, referrals, cold outreach, industry events, and client meetings.
- Promote Equibuild's building maintenance, repair, renovation, and tenant improvement services.
- Identify upcoming capital projects, maintenance contracts, and renovation opportunities.
- Coordinate with our estimating and project management team to prepare quotations and proposals.
- Follow up with prospective clients and manage opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Represent Equibuild professionally at networking events and industry associations.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client communications.
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for professionals with experience selling services to commercial and institutional property owners and operators.
Experience in one or more of the following industries is highly desirable:
- Commercial Construction
- General Contracting
- Property Management
- Strata Management
- Facility Management
- Commercial Real Estate
- Affordable Housing
- Public Sector Procurement
- Building Maintenance
- Restoration Services
- Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Systems
Existing relationships within these sectors will be considered a significant asset.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Minimum 2 years of B2B sales or business development experience.
- Experience selling commercial construction, renovation, maintenance, or facility-related services.
- Proven ability to develop new business and build long-term client relationships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment.
- Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Preferred Industry Experience (Asset)
Candidates familiar with the following organizations or industry networks are strongly encouraged to apply:

Compensation
This is a commission-only opportunity designed for high-performing sales professionals.
Commission Structure:
- 10% of the gross profit on all projects you successfully secure.
- Unlimited earning potential with no cap on commissions.
