ABOUT THE ROLE
Care Accessible Transportation is hiring drivers to deliver safe, reliable, door-to-door accessible transportation service in Winnipeg. You'll operate a wheelchair-accessible Dodge ProMaster van, transporting passengers with mobility needs to medical appointments, work, and daily life.
This is a stable, long-term position with consistent shifts and meaningful work — no gig economy guesswork. Service launches August 16, 2026, and early applicants get priority consideration for interviews.

WHAT YOU'LL DO EVERY DAY
- Provide safe, on-time door-to-door transportation to passengers using wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, and other mobility aids
- Physically assist passengers with boarding and deboarding — securing mobility devices using industry-standard restraint systems
- Communicate with dispatch via a provided mobile device throughout your shift
- Collect fares in accordance with accessible transit fare policy
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Operate within Winnipeg city limits — up to 14 hour shifts on weekdays and up to 12 hour shifts on weekends and holidays
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Valid Manitoba Class 4 driver's licence (or working toward one — reach out)
- 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record; MPI driver's abstract required before start
- Ability to pass a Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Physically capable of bending, lifting, and securing mobility equipment every shift
- Functional English reading and writing ability
- Experience in paratransit, accessible transport, or patient transfer is a significant advantage
- Reliable, patient, and genuinely committed to treating passengers with dignity

TRAINING & CERTIFICATION
All new drivers complete a paid training program before their first shift, covering wheelchair securement, passenger assistance, service policies, and vehicle safety. Refresher training is provided every 3 years. No accessible transport experience? We'll certify you—what we can't train is character.
