GEF Seniors Housing is the largest provider of affordable housing for low to moderate income seniors in Alberta. As a leading provider of safe, affordable, quality accommodations, we offer competitive salaries and excellent working conditions for our team of employees, and the opportunity to positively contribute to our clients’ quality of life.
Details: Temporary, Nights, 32.50 hours per week, 3 weeks rotating schedule (This is a temporary position that is expected to end on or before January 10, 2027)

Schedule:
Week 1: 11PM to 7AM Friday, Thursday; 11:30PM to 7:30AM Tuesday, Wednesday
Week 2: 11:30PM to 7:30AM Saturday, Sunday, Thursday; 11PM to 7AM Monday, Tuesday
Week 3: 11:30PM to 7:30AM Friday, Thursday; 11PM to 7AM Saturday, Sunday
Pay Scale: $19.05 - $23.10 per hour
Location: Beverly Place Lodge, 4410 – 117 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB, T5W 4Z8; Virginia Park Lodge, 11033 – 76 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5B 4T2

Typical Duties: Food preparation, baking, portioning and labeling food, cleaning kitchen areas and equipment, dishwashing, preparing meals, beverages, sandwiches, salads and snacks, peeling and chopping vegetables, assisting with meal services and beverages, and other site-specific duties as assigned.

Experience/Education Preferences:

Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal are required
Experience in food preparation and baking is an asset
Experience as a server in a dining room is preferred

Other Requirements:

Strong customer service skills, including the ability to interact with everyone in a respectful manner
Ability to read and follow standard recipes and work in a sanitary manner
Ability to demonstrate responsible judgement in problem solving
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
