Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic food service team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will support food preparation and service operations by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are most important. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable kitchen experience and develop skills in food handling, safety, and meal preparation.

Duties

Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness standards
Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff
Support food service operations by organizing supplies and ensuring the availability of clean dishware
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces
Follow proper food safety protocols to ensure a hygienic environment
Help with food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients under supervision
Assist in setting up dining areas and clearing tables as needed during service hours
Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required
Knowledge of basic food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food preparation
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads (up to 50 pounds)
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends or evenings if needed

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
