Job Summary:
As part of the Social Media Team, the Social Media Specialist acts as the frontline voice of the brand by interacting with customers and followers in real-time on various social media platforms. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, GARAGE, the Social Media Specialist’s main focus will be to create and curate innovative content that is aligned with the social media strategy for the GARAGE brand. To ensure a seamless customer experience and brand voice across all channels, the Specialist will be required to collaborate closely with the product, PR, creative and digital teams.
The Social Media Specialist will also play a key role in the development and support of omni-channel marketing campaigns including contests, promotions and events.
Main Responsibilities:
Social Media Marketing:

Supports the execution of the social media strategy for the GARAGE brand;

Curates and creates content for GARAGE social media channels in partnership with the photography and graphic teams;

Content planning, copywriting, posting and seeding content into social channels as needed;

Supports GARAGE Marketing team with building seasonal campaign concepts;

Coordinates with the internal Product, Visual, E-commerce, and Marketing teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in brand voice;

Generates engagement and growth across key channels with innovative content strategies;
-
Leverage influencer and brand partner content across multiple customer touchpoints.
Customer relations:

Responsible for online customer support by liaising with customer service specialists and managing online feedback.
Research & Analytics:

Social listening capabilities to lead cultural conversations and trends;

Reporting and data analysis through native and third-party platforms.
Objectives:

Develop brand awareness and grow the online community;

Increase social media fan base and engagement;
-
Drive in-store traffic and generate inbound traffic to E-commerce website;

Encourage product adoption.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field;

Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in social media marketing, preferably in a retail environment with a proven track record of delivering compelling content and a significant increase in traffic and engagement; must have a background in reporting and analytics;

Excellent knowledge of social media channels (including but not limited to Facebook, Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and Snapchat);

Understanding of social marketing principles and strategies;

Excellent social media copywriting skills;

Experience in analytics platforms and tools such as Sprout Social, Dash Social, Hootsuite, Creator IQ, etc.;

Experience in fashion would be an asset;

Bilingual: excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English. Bilingualism (French and English, written and verbal) is required for daily communication with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
