Full job description

This is a full-time role which requires working on-site n Brampton ON and might require travel between sites of Brampton Civic Hospital in Brampton, Peel and Etobicoke.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $64,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards program will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role. Please note that artificial intelligence–based tools may be used at certain stages of the recruitment and applicant screening process.

The Disability Coordinator supports responsibilities include the following:

Coordinate disability claims with the external consultant acting as a point of contact for Compass One with extreme confidentiality
Work with internal & external stakeholders to help coordinate return-to-work plans that are safe and cost effective
Coordinate all pertinent paperwork for all non-occupational and occupational claims and forward to the appropriate stakeholder
Share with the onsite management team any communications from the external disability team regarding programs or/and additional information
Track and reduce absences, while working closely with Human Resources for any escalations
Administrator the Attendance Management Program at all 3 sites
Communicate with onsite payroll & scheduling regarding any absences, modified work and return to work; coordinating with the external stakeholder
Perform these functions in conjunction with the union and management representative to ensure effective implementation
Be an active member of the JHSC
Track, report and monitor Health & Safety incidents/accidents, ensuring follow up and completion of any corrective action plans.
Ensuring all Health & Safety training is complete for all associates
Ad-hac projects, reporting and other duties as needed

3-5 years of experience with Human Resources administration and claims management.
Comprehensive knowledge of duty to accommodate, disability and attendance management
Ability to communicate effectively and present clear and precise information
Working experience of UKG
Experience working in a unionized environment
Experience with high volume of work
Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
Proven track record of absenteeism reduction
Ability to communicate and coordinate with union, management, staff, and internal/external stakeholders
Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
Knowledge of current issues and trends in the Healthcare industry as they pertain to disability management
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with different levels of stakeholders
Ability to travel within the GTA
Solid Knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting
