About Pentalift Equipment Corporation:

Founded in 1983, Pentalift is one of North America's leading manufacturers of loading dock equipment and industrial material handling equipment. We are proud to be a reliable supplier to dealers, general contractors and manufacturing companies located all over North America.

We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an experienced Band Saw Operator / Machine Operator to join our dedicated team on the day shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm). This role will work out of our 87,000 sq. ft. facility located in Puslinch, ON.

Please note our facility is not accessible by bus.

Primary Responsibilities:

Mainly operate a variety of industrial saw machines, but may operate other machine shop equipment as required
May operate material handling equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts
Read blue prints to determine scope of work
Observe machine operations and periodically verify conformance of parts to specifications using micrometers and verniers
May need to periodically work outside in all weather conditions
General duties as required
Maintain a safe and clean work area as well as work as efficiently as possible
Work in a safe manner in accordance to legislation and Company policies. This includes working in required PPE (Steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses)

Qualifications:

Minimum 1-2 years' hands on experience working with industrial equipment. Previous saw experience considered a strong asset
Minimum 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing/machine shop environment
Must be able to accurately read blueprints
Must be able to accurately use measuring tools
Previous experience using hand tools
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Capable of standing for extended periods of time
Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions
Possess a positive attitude and work well in a team oriented environment
Ability to work in fast-paced environment, continually adapting to change and work under pressure
