Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled PHP Developer to join our growing development team. In this role, you will take the lead in designing, developing, and maintaining our core e-commerce platforms, internal backend systems (such as OMS), and tailored Shopify solutions.
You will collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance technical solutions. If you have a deep understanding of the e-commerce ecosystem, a passion for writing clean, maintainable code, and extensive hands-on experience within the Laravel and Shopify ecosystems, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Core Backend Development: Architect, build, and maintain robust e-commerce systems, internal tools, and RESTful/GraphQL APIs using the Laravel framework.
- Shopify Customization & Apps: Independently design, develop, and maintain Shopify Custom Apps (via REST/GraphQL APIs and Webhooks) and leverage Custom Liquid for deep frontend theme customization.
- Frontend UI Implementation: Work alongside UI/UX designers to build high-performance, responsive, and dynamic user interfaces using Livewire and Tailwind CSS.
- Performance & Security Optimization: Optimize database schemas, query performance, and caching strategies (e.g., Redis) to ensure platform stability and data security under high-traffic conditions.
- Technical Leadership: Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards and best practices.
Job Requirements
Core Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Experience: 5+ years of professional web development experience, with at least 5+ years dedicated to PHP (Laravel) backend architecture.
- Shopify Expertise: Proven track record of developing Shopify Custom Apps from scratch. Deep understanding of Shopify API environments, app extensions, and proficiency in Custom Liquid templating.
- E-commerce Domain Knowledge: Strong background in the E-commerce industry. Deep familiarity with e-commerce business logic (e.g., Order Management Systems (OMS), inventory synchronization, shopping cart flows, payment gateway integrations, and logistics).
- Modern Frontend Stack: Highly proficient in full-stack development utilizing Livewire and Tailwind CSS (experience with Alpine.js is highly valued).
- Database Management: Strong knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL, including advanced SQL optimization, database indexing, and handling large-scale datasets.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
- Containerization: Experience with Docker for streamlining local development environments or production deployments.
- Modern Infrastructure: Familiarity with Git workflows (Git Flow), Linux server administration, Redis caching, and cloud platforms (AWS / GCP).
- Open Source Ecosystem: Experience utilizing Filament (PHP Admin Panel) or contributions to open-source PHP projects is a plus.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to handle technical challenges during peak e-commerce seasons (e.g., major promotional campaigns).
Pay: $70,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
