Position Overview

Innowave Software Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and enterprise technology solutions. The successful candidate will lead the development of complex software systems, contribute to architectural decisions, optimize application performance, and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products. The role requires extensive experience in web application development, database technologies, system integrations, and software development best practices within fast-paced technology environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software applications and enterprise systems.
Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to develop effective software solutions.
Lead the design and development of scalable web-based applications and backend services.
Write, review, optimize, and troubleshoot software code to ensure performance, reliability, and security.
Develop and maintain APIs, system integrations, and database-driven applications.
Participate in software architecture planning and technical design discussions.
Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to development team members.
Optimize application performance, database structures, and system efficiency.
Collaborate with project managers, analysts, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and development procedures.
Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements to software architecture and development practices.
Support deployment activities, software releases, system upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
Identify and resolve software defects, production issues, and technical challenges.
Participate in Agile development processes, sprint planning, and project delivery activities.

Education Requirement

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is considered an asset.
Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and extensive software development experience may be considered.

Experience Requirement

Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, programming, and application design.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior-level software development or technical leadership role.
Extensive experience developing and maintaining large-scale web applications and enterprise software solutions.
Strong experience with PHP development and modern MVC frameworks such as
Laravel, CakePHP, CodeIgniter, or equivalent technologies.
Experience developing and maintaining relational and non-relational database systems, including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and CassandraDB.
Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, API development, and web application integration technologies.
Experience working with source control systems, project management platforms, and
Agile software development methodologies.
Demonstrated experience optimizing high-traffic applications, application performance, and software scalability.
Experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and contributing to technical decision-making is considered a strong asset.

Technical Skills

Advanced knowledge of PHP, Laravel, CakePHP, CodeIgniter, and MVC application architecture.
Strong proficiency with MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, and database optimization techniques.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, XML, AJAX, and modern web development practices.
Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, and software development lifecycle tools.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
