At Chawla’s Cuisine, we are proud to be a busy, well-established staple in the community, known for serving authentic, top-quality North Indian flavours and delivering excellent customer service. We thrive in a vibrant, high-energy environment and are currently looking for an experienced, dynamic Server / Bartender who can bring passion, efficiency, and a great attitude to our team.

The Role

We are seeking an individual who is not just a food runner, but a hospitality professional. Because our dining room and bar area move fast, the ideal candidate must be a master of multitasking someone who can gracefully balance a busy section, engage warmly with guests, and ensure every order is flawless without breaking a sweat.

Responsibilities

Exceptional Service: Provide professional, warm, and friendly service, ensuring every guest feels like family from the moment they step into Chawla's.
Master of Multitasking: Efficiently manage multiple tables, bar orders, and guest requests simultaneously in a high-volume dining setting.
Order Accuracy: Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately, demonstrating a strong knowledge of our menu to assist guests with preferences or dietary needs.
Upselling & Recommendations: Enthusiastically recommend signature dishes, pairings, and bar drinks to elevate the guest experience.
Responsible Service: Mix and serve beverages efficiently while strictly adhering to Ontario liquor service laws and Smart Serve practices.
Team Operations: Assist with opening, closing, and essential side duties to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
Cleanliness: Maintain a pristine, organized, and hygienic work and dining area.

Requirements

Experience: 2–4 years of proven experience in both restaurant dining and bar service.
Certification: Valid Smart Serve certification is mandatory.
High-Level Multitasking: Ability to prioritize tasks on the fly, work exceptionally well under pressure, and maintain a calm, positive demeanor during peak rush hours.
Communication: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and a true team player who supports their colleagues.
Flexibility: Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
