Overview
Our independently owned Pharmasave pharmacy, located at Oak Street and West 15th Avenue in Vancouver, is seeking a dependable Assistant Store Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. We serve a welcoming local community and pride ourselves on providing high-quality patient care in a supportive and friendly environment. You will play a crucial role in supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations.
Supervise and support retail staff, providing training and performance feedback.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and conducting inventory counts.
Ensure merchandising standards are met, including product displays and pricing accuracy.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
Operate the cash register and oversee cash handling procedures.
Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing time-off requests.
Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
Collaborate with the Pharmacist and healthcare team to support pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma; post-secondary education in business or related field preferred.
At least 3 years of retail experience, with 1 year in a supervisory role.
Pharmacy experience
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient with computers and retail management software.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Organized, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move merchandise as required.
Must notify the Store Manager of any health issues that may affect job performance.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
