Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Scrum Master in this role will act as a dedicated mentor and champion of Agile software development processes, with a sharp focus on delivering business value through continuous improvement for our clients Data Profile
This role is being introduced to bridge a critical operational gap within our Data Product and Data Engineering teams. With an increasing demand for data-driven solutions, you will establish structured intake and delivery practices to improve efficiency, team effectiveness, and work visibility. Managing up to three software development teams simultaneously, you will be accountable for monitoring performance, establishing standards, and relentlessly clearing roadblocks so your teams can fly high.
Responsibilities
- Agile Coaching & Mentorship: Guide, coach, and mentor cross-functional data teams on Agile/Scrum practices, principles, and values.

Ceremony Facilitation: Organize and lead all core Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospectives.

Delivery & Scope Management: Oversee and manage sprint scope, timelines, quality, and deliverables that directly align with ’s broader business goals.

Metrics & Reporting: Establish, implement, and track both quantitative and qualitative KPIs to drive measurable team performance, output consistency, and quality. Prepare and present regular progress, success, and learning reports to stakeholders.

Product Owner Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Owners to support backlog grooming, prioritize incoming requests, and streamline the intake process.

Obstacle Removal: Proactively identify, track, and resolve impediments and dependencies that block the team’s progress, while fostering a continuous improvement mindset.

Community of Practice: Collaborate with other Scrum Masters across to share techniques, innovative ideas, methods, and tooling strategies.
Qualifications

10+ years of experience working within Agile software development environments, with extensive experience explicitly acting as a Scrum Master or Agile process leader.

Proven ability to establish standards and drive delivery across multiple teams simultaneously (up to 3).

Expert, hands-on knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (including User Story mapping, defining Definition of Done, incorporating automated testing, and backlog refinement).

Hands-on experience utilizing Agile delivery platforms such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps to track and optimize workflow.

Nice to Have
- Prior exposure to Agile delivery within data-focused environments (Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, or Data Products).

A foundational understanding of data pipelines, workflows, dependencies, and challenges unique to large-scale data platforms.

Education and Certifications

University Degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification. (nice to have )
