Training and Documentation Specialist
As a Training and Documentation Specialist at FISPAN, you will be responsible for elevating the performance, product knowledge, and operational effectiveness of our global teams and key bank partnerships. We are seeking a seasoned professional with exceptional communication, documentation writing, and project management skills to own and execute our internal and external training and documentation strategy.
This is a high-impact role focused on building and delivering structured learning programs and comprehensive product documentation that equip our teams and partners to succeed. You will lead complex, cross-functional projects, from developing strategic training curriculums to maintaining a robust, accessible knowledge base. Your ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, digestible learning assets and manage projects from conception to completion will be critical to driving operational excellence and market leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Training Strategy: Design, build, and lead the overarching training and documentation strategy for internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment with company goals and product updates.
- Strategic Program & Project Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of training projects, from conducting organizational needs analyses and curriculum design to program delivery and effectiveness measurement.
- Oversee Documentation & Content Strategy: Drive the strategy and creation of critical learning assets, technical guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), release notes, and reference manuals, ensuring all content is accurate, impactful, and easily accessible.
- Leverage Technology for Scalability: Oversee the strategic use of our Learning Management System (LMS) and internal knowledge bases (e.g., Confluence, Notion). Manage efficient content distribution, course version control, and scalable e-learning pathways.
- Measure and Report on Training Impact: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of training initiatives and documentation adoption. Report on knowledge retention and program ROI to senior leadership.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key partner to Product, Engineering, Sales, and Executive leadership to identify knowledge gaps, extract technical product details, and build consensus on training priorities.
Required Skills + Qualifications
- Experience: 5-7+ years of progressive experience in corporate training, instructional design, technical writing, or a similar strategic enablement role, with a proven track record of directly impacting team performance and knowledge retention.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Technical Writing, Communications, Business, Technology, or a related field.
- LMS & Tool Expertise: Deep experience overseeing the strategy, content creation, and administration of Learning Management Systems (LMS). Knowledge of Training Certifications and professional credits (e.g., CPE) is a plus.
- Communication & Facilitation Skills: Exceptional public speaking, presentation, and instructional facilitation skills. Strong capability to articulate complex technical workflows into plain, accessible language.
- Documentation Writing Mastery: Expert-level writing and editing skills with a sharp eye for detail, formatting, and structural clarity in documentation.
- Project Management Expertise: Proven ability to manage multiple complex documentation and training timelines simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Location/Language: Candidate must be located in Vancouver. Native English proficiency is required. French language proficiency is a strong plus.
- Industry Interest: Preference given to candidates with experience in Financial Technology, Banking, ERPs, or B2B SaaS.
- Bonus Skills: Experience leveraging AI technology or automation tools for content creation, video editing, or documentation streamlining is a plus.

Compensation Package
FISPAN believes in an atmosphere and culture when innovation can flourish, collaboration and teamwork are valued and transparency is at the core of it all. We want our employees to see how the ideas they help generate today have an impact on how we do business tomorrow.With that, the hiring salary range for this position is $65,000 - $68,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on comparable market data from companies of similar employee size, revenue and location. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive semi-annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
