Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Bakery Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking, food preparation, and kitchen operations, with a focus on creating high-quality baked goods and desserts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a vibrant bakery environment, delivering exceptional products and customer service. The Bakery Chef will be responsible for preparing, baking, decorating, and packaging a variety of baked items while maintaining food safety standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
Decorate cakes and desserts with creative designs using cake decorating techniques.
Ensure all baked items meet quality standards and presentation expectations.
Follow recipes accurately and adjust ingredients as needed for consistency.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and baking areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
Handle food preparation tasks such as mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients.
Package baked goods securely for retail or wholesale distribution.
Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and placing orders when necessary.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers about products and offering recommendations when needed.
Adhere to food handling and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Proven experience in baking, cake decorating, or culinary arts within a restaurant or bakery setting.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Experience with food handling, packaging, and maintaining cleanliness in a commercial kitchen.
Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently and safely.
Excellent attention to detail in decorating cakes and presenting baked goods attractively.
Good communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Kitchen experience within the food industry is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
