We are looking for a Software Developer to join a team delivering cloud-based backend solutions in Burlington, Ontario . In this role, you will contribute across planning, development, validation, and ongoing application support while working in a collaborative Agile and DevOps setting. The position focuses on building reliable APIs, data-focused services, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities that strengthen existing platforms. This opportunity is well suited to a mid-level developer with strong C# and .NET experience, solid cloud knowledge, and a practical approach to building scalable software.
Responsibilities :
- Design, build, and enhance backend applications that support cloud-hosted software products and services.
- Develop and maintain APIs and service layers that enable secure, efficient, and scalable system integration.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and production issue resolution.
- Work closely with product and engineering stakeholders to translate business needs into maintainable technical solutions.
- Create data-driven functionality that supports application performance, reliability, and informed decision-making.
- Contribute to AI-related features, including the incorporation of intelligent capabilities into established systems where appropriate.
- Support DevOps practices by contributing to source control, automated delivery workflows, and continuous improvement of release processes.
- Troubleshoot defects, investigate root causes, and implement fixes to maintain a high standard of product quality.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on backend systems.
- Hands-on proficiency with C# and .NET Framework in a detail-focused development environment.
- Experience building cloud-based solutions, including exposure to Microsoft Azure services and CI/CD practices.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and data-centric application development.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and tools such as Jira, along with experience using GitHub for version control.
- Understanding of software testing, bug tracking, and production support within a collaborative engineering team.
- Exposure to artificial intelligence concepts, including LLM-related applications, is considered an asset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to scalable, high-performing software design.
