About the role

The Operator Jumbo Offsider is responsible for sgeneral all round underground duties at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation. This role is to recruit for an existing vacancy.

The position will be on an 14/14 (12 – hour day) roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario with no access to camp or FIFO

We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $114,589 to $155,032 CAD.

Key result areas in this role include:

Perform duties of Operator Jumbo Offsider and other duties as assigned by your supervision within your qualifications
Specific duties may include delivering and picking-up equipment such as tools, explosives, piping and services; delivering and picking-up personnel to development and production areas; removing of waste items from underground workings to waste dumps; providing general assistance to all underground mining areas; and assessing potential hazards and making the necessary changes to rectify them
Train and successfully demonstrate ability to operate and obtain required Ontario Common Core Modules
Consistently work in a safe and conscientious manner and comply with all safety procedures
Wear all required personal protective equipment
Observe experienced workers to gain and increase knowledge of methods, procedures, and performance standards
Report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor
Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free
Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements
Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures

About you

As an Operator Jumbo Offsider, you will possess a Secondary School Graduation Diploma and have successfully completed all relevant Common Core training modules. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:

Able to competently perform all skills progressively acquired to the role of Operator Jumbo Offsider
Demonstrated ability to drill and blast, slash, sub-drift, raise round & draft round
Good physical fitness with the ability to work in an underground environment
Excellent communication abilities
Flexibility and willingness to work on a rotational shiftwork basis
Willing and able to follow instructions and share knowledge and experience with others
Ability to work effectively alone and in a team environment
