Position Summary
Wheelking Transhaul Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to join our team in Acton, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key customer accounts, ensuring excellent service delivery, resolving customer concerns, and building long-term relationships with clients in the transportation and logistics industry.
The ideal candidate will possess strong logistics experience, exceptional communication skills, proven leadership abilities, and hands-on experience with TransPlus and Fleet Manager systems. This individual will serve as a liaison between customers, operations, dispatch, and management teams to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, and service requests.
- Coordinate with Operations, Dispatch, Safety, and Billing departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Monitor shipments and proactively communicate updates to customers.
- Handle service issues, delays, and escalations in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
- Analyze customer needs and recommend transportation solutions that align with business requirements.
- Review transportation performance metrics and identify opportunities for service improvements.
- Generate customer reports and maintain accurate account records.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities to expand existing customer relationships.
- Mentor and support customer service representatives and contribute to team development.
- Collaborate with management to improve service delivery processes and operational efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and transportation industry standards.
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation
- College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Customer Service, Account Management, Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain Operations.
- Strong experience managing customer accounts within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Proven experience resolving customer service issues and managing client expectations.
- Experience working with trucking and freight operations is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of TransPlus. Fleet manager
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience using transportation management systems (TMS) and reporting tools.
