About the Role
As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day management of a portfolio of multi-residential properties. You will work closely with senior management, site staff, and residents to ensure our buildings are well-maintained, efficiently operated, and provide an exceptional resident experience.
This role offers the opportunity to develop your property management skills while taking on increasing responsibility as you grow within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day management of a portfolio of residential rental properties.
- Build positive relationships with residents by responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and concerns.
- Support on-site staff and assist with the coordination of daily operations.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure buildings and grounds are maintained to company standards.
- Coordinate maintenance requests and work with contractors to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Assist with preparing annual budgets and monitoring property operating expenses.
- Review invoices and ensure accurate coding and processing.
- Monitor vacancies and work with the leasing team to support occupancy goals.
- Assist with rent reviews, market surveys and competitive analysis.
- Ensure compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate property records and prepare reports as required.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in residential property management, real estate, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Ontario's Residential Tenancies Act is considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Property Vista or other property management software is an asset.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
