About the Role:
Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager (RGM), thehourly Shift Manager plays an important role in keeping day‑to‑day operations running smoothly during scheduled shifts. This role is perfect for someone who loves engaging conversations, motivating others, and setting a positive tone for both the team and our guests.
In this role, you support the team while on shift by providing direction, answering questions, and helping maintain high standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness. Your support helps create a positive work environment and contributes to the overall success of each shift.

What You’ll Do:
- Ensure food charts, recipes, and preparation procedures are followed.
- Maintain proper storage and rotation of food and supplies to ensure freshness and quality.
- Uphold all sanitary procedures and keep the dining room and exterior areas clean and well‑maintained.
- Complete opening and closing procedures during assigned shifts.
- Monitor team performance and adjust positions to maintain speed, quality, and guest satisfaction.
- Handle inventory tasks, including counting and receiving supplies, reporting discrepancies, and maintaining stock at proper levels.
- Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, and shift financial records, including waste, refunds, and petty cash.
- Resolve guest concerns politely and efficiently.
- Assign tasks, provide feedback, and motivate team members to maintain a positive, productive shift.
- Support training of crew members on food safety, procedures, and daily routines.
- Maintain a safe, clean, audit‑ready environment and ensure health and safety guidelines are followed at all times.
- Step into crew roles as needed to keep operations running smoothly and support break coverage.
- Support execution of promotions and limited‑time offers (LTOs) while ensuring compliance with brand standards.
- Lead by example with a positive attitude, clear communication, and a focus on delivering a great guest experience.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a quick service restaurant (QSR) environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, enthusiastic approach.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to stay calm, focused, and effective in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic math skills and confidence handling cash transactions.
- Physical ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods to perform job functions.
- Experience in customer service and resolving guest concerns.
- Ability to assist with shift operations, ensure adherence to company standards, and assist with inventory management.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Work Environment:
- Primarily an indoor environment with occasional outdoor tasks.
- Occasionally lift, move, carry, and stack cartons up to 50 pounds from various heights.
- Experience frequent exposure to fluctuating temperatures in areas such as coolers, freezers, and cooking sections.
- Involves standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift without frequent rest periods.
- Frequent movements such as bending, wiping, sweeping, mopping, wrapping, and squeezing.
- Regularly reaching overhead, forward, and underneath shelves, counters, tables, and kitchen equipment.
- Frequent squatting or stooping to access items on low shelves or the floor.
- Occasional use of stools or ladders to reach items stored on higher shelves.
- Plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer service and preparing our signature subs.
