Boxer Kitchen & Bar is a new local restaurant and craft cocktail bar dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences through quality food, specializing in seasonal plates and craft cocktails.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Floor Manager to oversee our operations at Boxer Kitchen & Bar located in the heart of Old Strathcona. This role is vital in ensuring our restaurant runs smoothly while upholding our commitment to excellent service and culinary excellence. This position will require the candidate to work on the floor and manage the team. Cocktail bartending and previous management in a similar environment are necessary to be successful in this position.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and customer service.
Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build a strong team.
Manage upcoming special events. Working closely with the event coordinator and guests to successfully execute events.
Implement effective marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
Manage reservations and scheduling.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, safety standards, and restaurant management practices.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Experience with inventory management and budgeting processes is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
