Full job description

Experienced Service Technician / Installer ($28.00–$35.00/hr)

Pay: $28.00–$35.00/hr

We are looking for an experienced and mechanically skilled Service Technician / Installer to join our team. We specialize in servicing and installing paint spray booths, liquid and powder coating equipment, and related industrial equipment.

This position offers a mix of shop and field service work, providing variety and opportunities to develop specialized technical skills.

Please note: This is not an apprenticeship position.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing tinting machines and shakers.
Troubleshooting and repairing spray equipment.
Installing, assembling, and servicing paint booths and related systems.
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and stack cleaning.
Read and interpret basic schematics, service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Complete accurate service reports and documentation, including work completed, parts used, service details, and time tracking.
Provide professional, courteous customer service while representing the company.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in both the shop and the field.
Travel for out-of-town service and installation work as required.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical industrial equipment.
Ability to read basic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and work safely with ladders, lifts, tools, and industrial equipment.
Forklift certification, fall arrest training, and manlift certification are considered assets.
Experience with electrical controls, motors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC systems, or refrigeration is considered an asset but not required.
