Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal - #5160

Our client, one of Vancouver's most respected law firms, is looking for a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join their team.

Job Duties

Oversee the progression of files, including obtaining all relevant documentation and coordinating the settlement process.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, gathering information related to their claims.
Draft, file, and serve pleadings and application materials.
Conduct legal research.
Assist with Chambers appearances and trial preparation.
Monitor and maintain limitation dates and diarize key deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements

Paralegal Diploma.
Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) Diploma, together with 3–5 years of litigation experience.
Exceptional organizational and document management skills with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated fact investigation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, internet applications, and case management software.
Advanced database management knowledge.
Strong legal research and analytical skills.
Ability to manage responsibilities effectively in an unstructured work environment.
Self-directed with the confidence to exercise sound judgment and make recommendations independently.
Proven ability to prioritize competing tasks and deliver work within established timelines.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Sound business judgment, including the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Professional demeanor with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
