Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the kitchen by assisting in the preparation of high-quality meals and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about the food industry and eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
Adhere to all food safety and handling guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience.
Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.

Skills

Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or food service setting is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members.
Basic cooking skills with a willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field.
