Full job description

Red Deer Piling Inc. is currently hiring for a Full-Time driller to operate Soilmec Drills.

Job site locations vary from Calgary, Edmonton and some inter-provincial. In some cases, work may extend to British Columbia, Saskatchewan or Manitoba. Camp work is available with flights within Canada.

Job Description:

To safely and effectively install Caisson & Secant Piles to the highest standards while maintaining schedule.

Responsibilities:

Operate foundation drill rig equipment to complete piling operations (Soilmec SR-50, SR-65)
Communicate with contractors and all necessary suppliers .
Maintain positive relationships with contractors and subcontractors
Participate in daily/weekly and monthly safety meetings, as well as completion of day-to-day safety inspections and reporting.
Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment safely at all times
Ensure piling install information is recorded in a timely and effective manner
Operating loaders, skid steers or zoom booms when required.
Follow all OH&S work safe requirements as well as the policies and procedures laid out in Red Deer Piling Inc's Safety Manual.
Read and understand the pile drawings and specifications prior to and during the job
Conduct daily site-specific hazard assessments
Keep orderly paperwork and return them to the office in a timely manner
Fill out daily inspection log books and conduct routine maintenance on all equipment
Maintaining a safe work area, clear of hazards for other employee’s & contractors
Manage a crew by delegating job tasks and responsibilities on a daily basis

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

3+ years Piling experience
Experience running a Foundation Drill
Experience operating a loader/skid steer
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to work closely with co-workers as a team.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to accept and provide necessary direction.
Must have a Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Must be able to pass a D&A Test.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
