Overview

Nova ABA Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our expanding team as a part-time Independent Contractor. The successful candidate will provide in-home assessment and occupational therapy services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental needs in Brampton. Working collaboratively with families and an interdisciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist will play an essential role in promoting independence, participation in daily activities, and overall quality of life through evidence-based, family-centred care. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference while enjoying a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct occupational therapy assessments to identify each child's strengths, needs, and functional goals
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support participation in daily living, play, self-care, fine motor, sensory processing, and school readiness skills
Deliver occupational therapy services in clients' homes and virtually, when appropriate
Provide parent coaching and practical home strategies to promote skill development and carryover across environments
Collaborate with Registered Behaviour Analysts (RBAs), Instructor Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other professionals to provide coordinated, family-centred care while working within each professional's scope of practice
Monitor client progress and adjust intervention plans as needed
Complete clinical documentation, assessment reports, and session notes within established timelines
Maintain professional standards through ongoing continuing education and evidence-based practice

Qualifications

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
Minimum 2 years of paediatric clinical experience preferred
Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities is preferred
Experience supporting sensory processing, fine motor development, self-care skills, emotional regulation, and adaptive functioning is considered an asset
Knowledge of family-centred and neurodiversity-affirming practice is an asset
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary team
Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to client homes

Schedule

Flexible
Evenings and/or weekends
Initial caseload of approximately 1–2 clients, with opportunities to expand as referrals become available

Work Location: In person

Pay: $75.00-$90.00 per hour
