Full job description

Job Summary

Makilala Restaurant is seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Administrative Assistant to support the restaurant’s daily administrative operations. The successful candidate will assist with reservations, customer communications, event coordination, administrative records, and office support to ensure efficient business operations and most importantly uphold Chef Nuit’s standards and know the brand inside and out to ensure Systems and protocol are followed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Answer telephone calls, emails, and customer inquiries professionally.
Manage restaurant reservations and coordinate large group bookings.
Assist with planning and coordinating private events and catering orders.
Prepare correspondence, reports, invoices, and other administrative documents.
Maintain filing systems and organize business records.
Schedule meetings and maintain management calendars.
Coordinate communication between customers, suppliers, and restaurant management.
Maintain employee records and assist with administrative HR documentation.
Assist with payroll-related administrative tasks and timesheet organization.
Order and maintain office supplies.
Monitor and update reservation systems and administrative databases.
Support restaurant management with daily administrative operations.
Perform general office duties, including data entry, scanning, filing, and document preparation.
Ensure confidentiality of business and employee information.
Good at video/photo editing
Digital Marketing, Content Creation and Social Media Management.

Qualifications

Completion of a college program in business administration or a related field is an asset.
Minimum 1–2 years of administrative experience (restaurant or hospitality experience is an asset).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Proficiency in Canva, Capcut and Adobe
Experienced with the Toast (POS) System
Experience with restaurant reservation systems is an asset.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
