Position: Yard Operator

Location: Calgary, AB

Cascade Carriers is well known in the bulk transportation industry with terminals in Calgary and Sherwood Park. We utilize specialized trailers, operating one of the largest fleets of Pneumatic Dry Bulk Trailers in Western Canada, providing service to Customers in the Ready-Mix and the Oil and Natural Gas Industry.

We are accepting applications for a dependable and enthusiastic Yard Operator based out of Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and procedures
General maintenance, labour, and upkeep of shop, warehouse and yard facilities including but not limited to; yard checks, grading of yard, snow removal, mowing, trash collection, changing lights, re-painting posts and lines, dust collector, etc.
Loading and unloading of various products per customer requirements from warehouse, silo, or trailers.
Assist with parts pick up and deliveries.
Employees may be asked to perform other company related duties (as assigned) that fall within the team leader’s discretion.

Qualifications:

Previous experience of operating light duty equipment (i.e. Forklift, Wheel Loader, Auger, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a regular basis throughout the shift.
Must be capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to complete all required training (Forklift, Wheel Loader, Confined Space, Fall Protection, etc.)
Willing to work in a team atmosphere
Detailed and flexible approach to work assignments
Leads by example with integrity
