Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing support to both patients and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and have experience with electronic medical records systems.

Duties

Greet patients and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
Handle phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and provide information to patients.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) using systems such as Epic or Dentrix.
Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
Collect patient information and verify insurance details prior to appointments.
Support healthcare providers by preparing examination rooms and ensuring necessary supplies are stocked.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

Skills

Proficiency in medical office procedures and terminology.

Familiarity with MEDACCESS electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix.
Strong administrative skills with attention to detail in managing office tasks.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Knowledge of phone systems and front desk operations.
