The Role: The "Swiss Army Knife"
We are expanding our crews for the upcoming paving season and are looking for highly capable Asphalt Professionals who also hold a Class 3 (or Class 1) Driver's License.
We are not looking for steering-wheel holders. We are looking for true asphalt guys who can swing a lute, run a compactor, and read a mat, but have the licensing and ability to jump in a tandem dump truck to cycle hot mix from the plant to the site when the spread demands it. This is a highly fluid, hybrid role for a utility player who wants to stay busy and maximize their hours.
What You’ll Be Doing
Boots on the Ground: Working directly on the active paving spread—shoveling, raking, and ensuring tight joints on massive residential driveways and commercial lots.
Equipment Operation: Operating skid steers, ride-on rollers, and plate compactors as needed to keep the site moving flawlessly.
Hot-Seating Tandem Dump Trucks: Jumping in the cab to safely haul hot mix asphalt from the plant to the paver, or delivering aggregate base materials to our prep sites.
The "Strike Team": Executing high-margin commercial saw cuts and patch jobs in small, fast-moving mobile crews.
Safety Leadership: Actively participating in our START safety protocol to spot hazards and communicate with the team.
What You Need to Bring
Asphalt Experience (Primary): This is non-negotiable. You must know how to read a mat, handle asphalt hand tools, and understand the flow of the paving process.
Valid Class 3 or Class 1 License (Required): You must have the licensing and a clean driver's abstract to legally cycle our tandem trucks.
The "Get It Done" Attitude: Willingness to switch seamlessly between hard physical labor on the ground and driving heavy trucks.
Team Player: A respectful, positive attitude. Leave the ego at home; we work as one unshakable unit.
