Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations of the front desk. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and proficiency with relevant software systems. Prior experience in dental office environments is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of electronic medical records and office administration.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using dental practice management software such as tracker
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed
Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries
Maintain accurate patient records within electronic medical records systems
Collect payments and process transactions accurately at the front desk
Prepare patient charts and ensure all documentation is complete prior to appointments
Manage correspondence, including emails and appointment reminders
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry to support overall office efficiency

Skills

Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist within a dental office setting
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as tracker records systems is preferred
Strong knowledge of dental terminology
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and records
Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism
Exceptional communication skills for interacting effectively with patients, staff, and insurance providers
Familiarity with office procedures, including billing, insurance verification, and appointment coordination
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor and delivering outstanding customer service
