Position Overview
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support sourcing and procurement activities for our Nondestructive Testing (NDT) and Laboratory services operations across Canada and the United States. Reporting directly to the NOAM Procurement Manager, this individual will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end procurement processes, including sourcing, pricing analysis, RFQs, RFPs, and tender activities, while ensuring cost efficiency, supplier performance, and alignment with operational requirements.
This role requires a hunter mindset, analytical capability, and an open-minded approach to work with stakeholders across diverse businesses.
Experience within the NDT and/or laboratory services industry is considered an asset but is not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for NDT equipment, laboratory services, consumables, and indirect materials.
- Manage and maintain supplier relationships across Canadian and U.S. markets.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery timelines, and compliance.
Pricing, RFQ, RFP & Tender Management
- Lead RFQ, RFP, and tender processes from preparation through evaluation and award.
- Prepare sourcing documentation, scopes of work, and bid evaluation matrices.
- Analyze supplier pricing, commercial terms, and total cost of ownership.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements to achieve best value.
Procurement Operations
- Execute purchase orders and manage procurement cycles in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure procurement activities support operational schedules and business objectives.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and reporting.
- Support contract administration, renewals, and amendments.
Cross‑Border & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Support procurement activities for both Canada and U.S. operations, including coordination with logistics and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate closely with operations, laboratory teams, finance, and management.
- Provide procurement insights, market trends, and supplier recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles.
- Hands‑on experience managing RFQs, RFPs, and tender processes.
- Strong negotiation and commercial analysis skills.
- Experience supporting multi‑regional or cross‑border procurement (Canada and/or USA).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Understanding of procurement systems.
Preferred / Assets
- Experience in Nondestructive Testing (NDT) and/or Laboratory services environments.
- Knowledge of SAP Ariba (asset but not mandatory).
- Experience in industrial services, oil & gas, energy, engineering, or technical services sectors.
- Post‑secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Pay: $45,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
