Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Part-Time Child Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families! In this role, you will support early childhood development by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Your enthusiasm and caregiving skills will help foster growth, learning, and joy for children of diverse needs, including those with disabilities. This position in before & after school programming offers is perfect for individuals passionate about education and caregiving who want to contribute positively to their community.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Support children during playtime, learning sessions, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being.
Provide attentive care to children with disabilities, adapting activities to meet individual needs and fostering inclusive participation.
Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Observe and document children's progress, sharing insights with teachers and parents to support developmental goals.
Follow all safety protocols and licensing regulations diligently to ensure a secure environment for every child.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to promote a positive and collaborative atmosphere.

Requirements

Prior classroom experience or hands-on experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued.
Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate caregiving tailored to each child's unique needs.
Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and team members.
Ability to remain energetic, attentive, and positive throughout your shift.
Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a nurturing environment for all children.
Must gave availability Monday to Friday for both before & after school scheduling opportunities.
